Belhaven Farm offers lessons to kids and adults of all riding levels. We have a variety of horses available for weekly lessons if desired. Our goal is to bring horse and rider along as a team to build trust and to make them more confident and successful together.

24-hour cancellation policy (cancellation fee is cost of lesson)

• Please allow 30 minutes before and after your lesson time for grooming

• Riders will need a minimum of boots and helmet

• Parents are expected to supervise or assist riders 12 and under

We also welcome your horse into our top-notch sales program. We provide clients with a beautiful facility and a meticulous, individualized program to develop, market and showcase the talents and strengths of your horse.

We provide each horse with a broad range of riders, from professional to amateur to children, to ensure their strengths are tested and well-rounded to ultimately match them with a suitable buyer.

Located only 45 minutes from Tryon, North Carolina, our facility is easily accessible to a broad range of buyers from around the country. From the Carolina Schooling Series and BRHJA shows at FENCE and Harmon Field to USEF A-AA rated shows at Tryon International Equestrian Center, your horse will have the opportunity to compete and/or be tried by a broad range of potential buyers at many different competition levels.

All horses boarded at Belhaven Farm must be enrolled in a training and/or lesson program. The minimum requirement is (8) lessons and/or training rides per month.

Our feeding program is tailored to the individual horse, featuring high-quality feeds and hay. Horses are turned out daily on lush grass pastures, and on wet days they are given access from their stall to all-weather sand paddocks.

While in the barn, horses always have hay in front of them as we like them to be able to munch all day, like nature intended.

We distribute supplements and can administer medications (provided by owner) and blanket horses with owner-provided blankets, as needed or desired.

All horses receive regular visits (every 4-6 weeks) from our farrier. We take care of all veterinary matters: vaccinations and any other care/soundness matters.

At the owner's direction, horses may also receive chiropractic and massage therapy care as well. Trailering, clipping, grooming, rehab/medical care and other services are available at additional cost.
